From Burn-out to FlowWe all have times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed, stressed and depleted. It's hard to function when our nerves are frayed. We need nurturing.

Empowering Patterns
Our greatest work of art is our inner being. When we nurture ourselves we can show up more consistently and authentically to make a difference in the world.

I'm an artist and mental health practitioner. I offer coaching and courses that help people move from blocks and burn-out to balanced wellbeing.
I'm passionate about creativity being an essential part in people’s wellbeing and vibrancy. And perhaps because I'm a passionate person, I'm also familiar with burn-out... those feelings of depletion, hopelessness and self-doubt that are common when the nervous system gets overwhelmed and frazzled. Know the feeling? If so, you're not alone. Research shows that 65% of us experience burn-out in our lives. Meanwhile 85% of us experience self-doubt. Four years ago I did some training in Positive Neuroplasticity with Dr Rick Hanson. Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to cultivate new strengths at any stage in life. At aged 46 I finally learned to nourish myself, and realised that when I did this I became far more resilient and creative in my life. |
The Feathers Project is a simple creative process that nourishes the nervous system and creates new neural networks one brushstroke at a time.
I have adapted Dr Rick Hanson's work, and combined it with my training in art therapy, somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness and emotion regulation. When we have good nervous system health, we can adapt effectively to the world around us - this is the essence of creativity. It is also the meaning of resilience. With the current challenges facing this world, it is more important than ever that we find our creative flow and personal agency. Whether you're a teacher, farmer, activist, engineer, or creative, I'd like to support you to resource the inner strength and resilience you need to make a difference in the world. Let's cultivate resilience and creativity together. Please get in touch to make an appointment. |
